Crustal displacement – what it means to us and how it will affect our civilization?

How do you think a crustal displacement will affect our civilization? Imagine if you will food production around the world shutting down; oil refineries and deep sea drilling rigs ceasing production; pipelines fracturing, spilling their contents everywhere; oil wells catching alight spewing noxious clouds of fumes everywhere; a third of the population on Earth dying from starvation, another third dying from disease; our seas black and lifeless; radiation from nuclear power stations producing fallout; our big cities in ruins, taking a thousand years or so to rise like a phoenix from the ashes. War no more, certainly! People will only be to glad to see another human being that has survived, and, too shocked from past events to even think of picking up the sword to smite their brother. . .
