The America of my youth no longer exists. . .

2012-02-07 at 09:19

I was having a conversation with an intelligent, knowledgeable person yesterday and he expressed his dismay and anger at the American government at not ratifying the Kyoto Protocol and generally destroying the planet by abuse of minerals and energy, running rampant over the world like the communists of old hungering after power and conquests, and, the American people being wasteful, greed-filled automatons thinking only of themselves and the huge hamburgers on the plates in front of them.

He said, “How can any one country populating 260 million souls command and use 60% of the entire world’s resources?” He continued, “It is absolutely disgusting, they need to be wiped off the face of the Earth. . .” It is indeed a great shame that a country that once stood for righteousness, mom’s apple pie, Superman and justice, has now turned into a pale shadow of its former self, and that, where once good stood tall, now evil reigns and spreads its darkened tendrils over everything it touches, a country where greed and avariciousness spreads its coverlets over all life, a country where the likes of the Kardashians, hailed as celebrities, are promoted as leaders of fashion and twisted accepted morality in the sickest sense of the words. . .

One tiny itsy bitsy problem on the horizon for those destroying and abusing Mother Earth, or, Gaia as it is called – A crustal displacement powered by, and driven by the misuse and waste of fossil fuels, combined with a volcanic area within Yellowstone National Park which erupts every 650,000 years, of which we are at the end of a 650,000 year period, will ultimately destroy much of the United States of America. This will be a sad end to an America I have loved, much sadder still, is the America which meant so much in the days of yore in my youth, an America which even if only in my mind, stood for Justice, Superman and mom’s apple pie. . .
